A Fertile Land

The Lord your God is bringing you into a fertile land — a land that has rivers and springs, and underground streams gushing out into the valleys and hills; a land that produces wheat and barley, grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives, and honey.  There you will never go hungry or ever be in need.  Its rocks have iron in them, and from its hills you can mine copper.  You will have all you want to eat, and you will give thanks to the Lord your God for the fertile land that he has given you.  Make certain that you do not forget the Lord your God; do not fail to obey any of his laws that I am giving you today. — Deuteronomy 8:7-11

Thank you Lord, for allowing me to decide on my own.  You have given me the free will to choose, and still, you’re there by my side, guiding me, giving me strength and encouragement.  I will always remember what you’ve told me Lord.  That no matter what choice I have made, you will not abandon me and will always be there by my side no matter what. I will leave for a while to a foreign land where my heart is leading me, but will come back to be a blessing to your people here in the Philippines and to serve them.  Please always remind me that I must fulfill my mission for your greater glory. Equip me with all the things that I need Lord and allow me to be a better person as I take my first big step of moving out of my comfort zone.  In a foreign land, a place where I have nothing…but YOU.  In you my God, I entrust my future.  I know that you will support me along the way until I succeed.  May I never forget to give back and obey your laws Lord, as I succeed in my plans.  Because everything that I have, all that I am came from you and are for you.  Please always remind me of that Lord.  All these I pray in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
